Working with Stickers

Stickers are compact campaign elements that remain visible after a popup is hidden. They are especially useful in multi-step campaigns, allowing visitors to return to a previous campaign step without having to restart the experience.

For an overview of the Design Editor and its available features, see Design Editor Overview.

For example, you can display a promotional popup first and then show a small sticker after the visitor closes it. Clicking the sticker can reopen the popup or move the visitor to another step.

Using Stickers in a Campaign

Stickers can be used to maintain a campaign's visibility without keeping the main popup open.

A typical multi-step campaign can work like this:

  1. Display the main Popup.
  2. The visitor closes or dismisses the popup.
  3. The Sticker appears.
  4. The visitor clicks the sticker.
  5. The campaign can reopen the popup or display another step.

This is useful for promotions, product recommendations, discounts, and other campaigns where visitors may need more time before taking action.

To learn how to create and configure multiple campaign steps, see Configuring Campaign Steps.

Configure Sticker Visibility

To configure a sticker:

  1. Select the campaign step in the Design Editor.
  2. Open Custom settings for this step.
  3. Select the Sticker tab.

Under Visibility, choose where the sticker should appear:

    • Desktop
    • Mobile

You can enable either or both options.

Start in Sticker

The Start in sticker option allows the campaign step to begin with the sticker instead of immediately displaying the popup.

You can configure this separately for:

  • Desktop
  • Mobile

This is useful when you want to introduce the campaign with a small, less intrusive element and let visitors open the main popup when they choose.

Customize the Sticker

The Sticker settings provide several options for controlling its appearance.

For general information about styling campaign elements, see Background and Visual Styling.

Borders

You can customize the sticker's border using:

  • Radius — controls how rounded the corners are.
  • Width — sets the border width.

    Style — choose from:

    • None
    • Solid
    • Dashed
    • Dotted
    • Double
  • Color — sets the border color.
  • Per side — allows border settings to be configured individually for each side.

Drop Shadow

Use Drop Shadow to add depth and make the sticker stand out from the page.

You can select a predefined shadow style, such as:

  • Subtle Lift
  • Floating Card
  • Soft Glow
  • Hard Edge
  • Dreamy
  • Custom

When Custom is selected, you can adjust:

  • Color
  • Opacity
  • Blur
  • Spread
  • X — horizontal shadow position.
  • Y — vertical shadow position.

For more information about borders and shadows, see Background and Visual Styling.

Sticker Size and Layout

The Size settings control the sticker's dimensions.

You can set its:

  • Width (W)
  • Height (H)

Depending on the desired layout, you can also use options such as:

  • Full Width
  • Hug Width
  • Full Height
  • Hug Height
  • Fit Content

Use these options to make the sticker adapt to its content or occupy the available space.

For more information about sizing and arranging campaign elements, see Managing Rows and Layout.

Padding

Use Padding to control the space between the sticker's content and its edges.

  • V — vertical padding.
  • H — horizontal padding.

Adjust padding to give the sticker more breathing room or create a more compact design.

For additional layout guidance, see Managing Rows and Layout.

Position

The Position grid controls where the sticker appears on the screen.

You can position it in areas such as:

  • Top-left
  • Top-center
  • Top-right
  • Center-left
  • Center
  • Center-right
  • Bottom-left
  • Bottom-center
  • Bottom-right

Choose the position that works best with your website layout.

Advanced Sticker Settings

Additional settings give you more control over how the sticker is displayed.

Rotation

Use Rotation to rotate the sticker.

Horizontal and Vertical Offset

Use:

  • H. Offset — moves the sticker horizontally.
  • V. Offset — moves the sticker vertically.

These settings are useful for fine-tuning the sticker's position after selecting its main position.

Opening Effect

The Opening effect controls how the sticker appears on the page.

Available effects include options such as:

  • Fade In
  • Fade In Up
  • Fade In Down
  • Fade In Left
  • Fade In Right
  • Fade In Scale
  • Fade In Blur
  • Zoom In
  • Zoom Out
  • Grow
  • Bounce In
  • Elastic
  • Rubber Band
  • Flip In X
  • Flip In Y
  • Pulse
  • Jello

Select None if you do not want an animation.

Z-index

The Z-index determines the sticker's stacking order compared with other elements on the page.

A higher value places the sticker above elements with a lower stacking order.

Stickers in Multi-Step Campaigns

Stickers are particularly useful when a campaign contains multiple steps.

For example:

Step 1 — Promotional Popup

Display a special offer.

↓

Visitor closes the popup

The popup disappears.

↓

Sticker appears

The offer remains accessible without covering the page.

↓

Visitor clicks the sticker

The campaign can reopen the popup or move to another campaign step.

For more information about configuring what happens when visitors interact with campaign elements, see Configuring Element Actions.

This approach keeps the campaign available while reducing interruption to the visitor's browsing experience.

Tip: Keep stickers compact and easy to recognize. Use a clear message or visual cue so visitors understand that clicking the sticker will bring the campaign back or continue the campaign journey.

Once your campaign is configured, see Saving and Publishing a Campaign to learn how to save your changes and make the campaign live.
