Manage Rules

Rules automatically assign or update meta fields when visitors match specific conditions. This helps you classify visitors based on their behavior, interests, or attributes without requiring manual updates.
Rules Page
Access Rules
To manage rules:
- Go to → Meta Fields.
- Select the Rules tab.
The Rules page displays all configured rules.
If no rules have been created yet, the page displays No rules yet with a Create Rule button.
Create a Rule
To create a new rule:
- Open the Rules tab.
- Click Create Rule.
- Configure the conditions that determine when the rule should apply.
- Select the meta field or fields that should be assigned or updated.
- Save the rule.
Once created, the rule will appear in the Rules list.
Rules List
Each rule includes information such as:
- Status – Shows whether the rule is enabled or disabled.
- # – Displays the rule order.
- Name – The name assigned to the rule.
- Conditions – The criteria that trigger the rule.
- Action – The action performed when the conditions are met.
- Meta Fields – The meta fields affected by the rule.
Search Rules
Use the Search rules field to quickly find a rule by its name.
This is especially useful when managing multiple rules.
Enable or Disable a Rule
Use the toggle in the Status column to enable or disable a rule.
Disabling a rule temporarily stops it from being applied without deleting its configuration.
Manage Existing Rules
Click the ⋮ (More) menu next to a rule to access available management options.
Depending on your permissions, you may be able to:
- Edit a rule.
- Delete a rule.
- Update its conditions or actions.
Best Practices
- Use clear and descriptive rule names.
- Keep conditions specific to the visitor behavior you want to identify.
- Review your rules regularly to ensure they are still relevant.
- Disable rules that are temporarily not needed instead of deleting them.
- Avoid creating overlapping rules that may update the same meta fields unexpectedly.
