Samba.ai Integration

The Samba.ai Integration connects your Tango.ad workspace with the Samba.ai platform, enabling AI-powered personalization and marketing automation. Once connected, Tango.ad can exchange data with your Samba.ai project to support customer insights, personalization, and AI-driven campaigns.

To connect Samba.ai, you need a Samba.ai API Key and the Project ID associated with your Samba.ai project.

Connect Samba.ai

Step 1: Open the Samba.ai Integration

Open Integration Hub in your Tango.ad workspace.
Select Samba.ai.
Open the Samba.ai integration settings.

Step 2: Get Your Samba.ai API Key

The API Key authenticates Tango.ad with your Samba.ai account.

Log in to your Samba.ai account.
Open the account or project settings.
Locate the section for API or API Keys.
Create or generate an API key if you do not already have one.
Copy the API key.

Keep your API key confidential and do not share it publicly.

Permissions: The provided Tango.ad documentation does not specify the required permissions for the Samba.ai API key. Confirm the required API access with the current Samba.ai/Tango.ad integration before documenting a specific permission or scope.

Step 3: Find Your Project ID

The Project ID identifies the Samba.ai project that Tango.ad should connect to.

Open the Samba.ai project you want to connect.
Open the project settings or project details.
Locate the Project ID.
Copy the Project ID.

The Project ID is required.

Note: The provided Tango.ad documentation confirms that the Project ID is mandatory, but it does not specify the exact location of the Project ID in the current Samba.ai interface. Verify the current Samba.ai navigation before publishing an exact menu path.

Step 4: Add Your Credentials to Tango.ad

Return to the Samba.ai integration in Tango.ad.

Enter:

API Key — Paste the API key generated in Samba.ai.
Project ID — Enter the ID of the Samba.ai project you want to connect.

Both fields are required.

If an API key has already been configured, the field displays Saved instead of revealing the actual key.

Click Replace to enter a new API key.

Project ID

The Project ID identifies which Samba.ai project Tango.ad should connect to.

Enable or Disable the Integration

Use the toggle in the upper-right corner of the integration card to enable or disable the Samba.ai connection.

When enabled:

Tango.ad connects to your Samba.ai project.
AI-powered personalization features become available.
Supported data can be synchronized between both platforms.

When disabled:

Synchronization is paused.
Your saved configuration remains available for future use.

Save Settings

After entering or updating your credentials:

Verify the API Key and Project ID.
Click Save Settings.
Confirm that the integration is enabled.

Test the Integration

After saving your settings, verify that Tango.ad can connect to the correct Samba.ai project.

Make sure the Samba.ai integration is enabled.
Confirm that the correct Project ID is configured.
Open the connected Samba.ai project.
Verify that the expected data or integration activity is available.

If the connection does not work, verify the API Key and Project ID and confirm that the API key has the required access.

Note: The provided documentation does not specify a dedicated Test Connection button or another built-in test action in Tango.ad. If the current integration provides a specific test action, add that exact UI step here after verification.

Troubleshooting

If the Samba.ai integration does not work:

Make sure the API Key was copied correctly.
Verify that the API key is still valid.
Confirm that the Project ID belongs to the intended Samba.ai project.
Make sure both required fields are completed.
Make sure the integration is enabled in Tango.ad.
If the API key is no longer valid, generate a new key in Samba.ai and replace the saved key in Tango.ad.

Best Practices

Keep your Samba.ai API Key confidential and never share it publicly.
Confirm that the Project ID matches the intended Samba.ai project.
Test the integration after saving your settings.
Replace the API Key immediately if you believe it has been compromised.
Disable the integration when it is no longer needed.
