Ecomail

The Ecomail Integration connects Tango.ad with your Ecomail account, allowing you to synchronize subscribers collected through Tango.ad campaigns with your Ecomail mailing lists.

To connect Ecomail, you need an Ecomail API Key. You can also provide a Default List ID to specify which mailing list should receive new subscribers by default.

Step 1: Open the Ecomail Integration

  1. Open Integration Hub in your Tango.ad workspace.
  2. Select Ecomail.
  3. Open the Ecomail integration settings.

Step 2: Get Your Ecomail API Key

The API Key authenticates Tango.ad with your Ecomail account.

  1. Log in to your Ecomail account.
  2. Open the account or profile settings.
  3. Locate the section for API or API Keys.
  4. Create or generate an API key if you do not already have one.
  5. Copy the API key.

Keep your API key secure and do not share it publicly.

Permissions: The provided documentation does not specify any required permissions for the Ecomail API key. Add the required permission information here only after confirming it with the current Ecomail/Tango.ad integration.

Step 3: Find Your Default List ID

The Default List ID specifies which Ecomail mailing list new subscribers should be added to by default.

  1. Log in to Ecomail.
  2. Open the mailing list you want to use.
  3. Open the list settings or details.
  4. Locate the list's ID.
  5. Copy the ID.

Enter this value in Tango.ad if you want subscribers to be added to a specific Ecomail list by default.

Step 4: Add Your Credentials to Tango.ad

Return to the Ecomail integration in Tango.ad.

Enter:

  • API Key — Paste the API key generated in Ecomail.
  • Default List ID — Enter the ID of the Ecomail list you want to use as the default. This field is optional.

If an API key has already been configured, the field displays Saved instead of revealing the actual key.

Click Replace to enter a new API key.

The API Key authenticates Tango.ad with your Ecomail account.

Default List ID

The Default List ID specifies which Ecomail contact list new subscribers should be added to by default.

This field is optional.

If you provide a Default List ID, new contacts collected through Tango.ad are added to the specified Ecomail list.

Enable or Disable the Integration

Use the toggle in the upper-right corner of the integration card to enable or disable the Ecomail connection.

When enabled:

  • Tango.ad can communicate with your Ecomail account.
  • Subscriber data can be synchronized.
  • Supported campaigns can add contacts to Ecomail.

When disabled:

  • Synchronization is paused.
  • Your saved configuration remains available for future use.

After entering or updating your configuration:

  1. Verify your API Key.
  2. Optionally enter the Default List ID.
  3. Click Save Settings.
  4. Confirm that the integration is enabled.

Test the Integration

After saving your settings, verify that Tango.ad can communicate with Ecomail.

  1. Make sure the Ecomail integration is enabled.
  2. Use a test campaign with an email input or another subscriber collection method.
  3. Submit a test email address through the campaign.
  4. Open the Ecomail list configured as the Default List ID.
  5. Check whether the test subscriber was added successfully.

If the test subscriber does not appear, verify the API Key and Default List ID and make sure the integration is enabled.

Troubleshooting

If the Ecomail integration does not work:

  • Make sure the API Key was copied correctly.
  • Verify that the API key is still valid.
  • Confirm that the Default List ID belongs to the intended Ecomail list.
  • Make sure the Ecomail integration is enabled in Tango.ad.
  • Submit a test subscriber and check the configured Ecomail list.
  • If the API key is no longer valid, generate a new key in Ecomail and replace the saved key in Tango.ad.

Best Practices

  • Keep your Ecomail API Key secure and do not share it publicly.
  • Use a Default List ID if subscribers should be added to a specific mailing list automatically.
  • Test the integration after saving your settings.
  • Use a test email address when verifying the connection.
  • Regularly review your Ecomail lists to ensure subscribers are being added to the correct list.
  • Disable the integration when it is no longer needed.
