Custom Mapping Documentation
The Custom Mapping page allows administrators to apply a predefined mapping template or create a custom configuration for website event tracking. This feature is used to map website activities and user behaviors to AI Dashboard traits for analytics, segmentation, and automation purposes.

AI Dashboards → Traits Mapping → Custom Mapping
Purpose
Custom Mapping enables you to:
- Configure how website events are interpreted by the system.
- Apply predefined mapping templates to accelerate setup.
- Standardize event tracking across multiple websites.
- Customize trait and event associations based on business requirements.
Interface Components
1. Configuration Menu
Located on the left-hand side of the page.
Available sections:

| Search Query | Define mappings related to user search activities. |
| Success Pages | Configure conversion and completion page tracking. |
| Custom Mapping | Apply or manage predefined mapping templates. |
2. Predefined Mapping
The main panel contains the Predefined Mapping section.
Description:
Select a predefined mapping template to apply to the current website. Applying a template will overwrite the existing events mapping configuration.
3. Template Selection
The Template dropdown allows users to choose a mapping configuration.
Example:
Template: Custom mapping
Administrators may select:
- Custom Mapping
- Standard Website Mapping
- E-commerce Mapping
- Lead Generation Mapping
- Other available templates configured in the system
(Available options may vary depending on your organization setup.)
4. Website Selector
Located at the upper-right corner.
Example:
Website: DEF
Use this dropdown to select the website where the mapping configuration will be applied.
5. Save Button
Located in the upper-right corner.
Function:
- Saves the selected mapping template.
- Applies the configuration to the currently selected website.
- Updates existing event mappings.
Important: Saving a new template may overwrite previous event mapping configurations.
How to Apply a Custom Mapping
Step 1
Navigate to:
AI Dashboards → Traits Mapping → Custom Mapping
Step 2
Select the target website from the Website dropdown.
Step 3
Open the Template dropdown.
Step 4
Choose the desired mapping template.
Step 5
Review the configuration and ensure it matches your tracking requirements.
Step 6
Click Save.
Step 7
The system applies the selected template to the website and updates the event mappings.
Best Practices
- Review existing mappings before applying a new template.
- Use predefined templates to maintain consistency across websites.
- Test event tracking after applying a new configuration.
- Document custom changes for future maintenance.
- Verify conversion events and success page mappings after updates.
Notes
- Applying a predefined template replaces the current event mapping setup.
- Changes only affect the selected website.
- Administrator permissions may be required to modify mapping configurations.
- It is recommended to back up existing mappings before applying a new template.
Expected Outcome
After saving, the selected website will use the chosen mapping template, ensuring that tracked events are properly associated with AI Dashboard traits and analytics workflows.
