Meta Fields Tab Documentation
Overview
The Meta Fields tab allows administrators to create and manage custom data fields used to track visitor attributes and usage-related metadata. These fields help organize, categorize, and enhance data collection across the platform.
Meta fields can be used for analytics, segmentation, automation, reporting, and personalization workflows.

Available Actions
- Search Meta Fields – Quickly locate existing meta fields by name or keyword.
- Usage Filter – Sort meta fields based on usage frequency (e.g., High to Low).
- Add Meta Field – Create a new custom meta field.
- Import – Upload existing meta field configurations.
Meta Fields Tab Purpose
Meta fields store additional information related to visitors, users, or system activity.
Common Use Cases
- Tracking visitor preferences or behavior.
- Storing account-related attributes.
- Categorizing users for reporting or automation.
- Monitoring feature usage and engagement metrics.
Creating a Meta Field
Follow these steps to add a new meta field:

Navigate to the Meta Fields tab.
Click Add Meta Field.
Configure the field details:
- Field Name – Enter a unique and descriptive name.
- Field Type – Select the appropriate data type.
- Default Value (optional) – Define a preset value if needed.
- Usage Settings (optional) – Configure how the field will be used or tracked.
- Save the meta field to make it available across the system.
Search and Filter Options
Search Meta Fields
Use the search bar to:
- Find meta fields by name.
- Locate specific configurations quickly.
- Filter large lists of fields efficiently.
Usage Sorting
The Usage dropdown allows administrators to sort fields by activity or usage frequency, such as:
- High to Low
- Low to High
This helps identify the most actively used meta fields.
Empty State Behavior
When no meta fields exist, the interface displays the following message:
No meta fields yet
“Create your first meta field to start tracking visitor attributes and usage metadata.”
Click Add Meta Field to create your first custom field.
